Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America is an actress and singer. The actress was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen was able to show a flair for the arts at an early age on stage. She was able to land her first acting role in an audition for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent before she was 13 and she was cast for television and newspaper commercials. In the same year, she also began training in private acting. Bell made an appearance as a guest in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998, as an uncredited actress. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and drama clubs. The school's show of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was cast as Dorothy. Bell was a student of music theatre in the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell left college in 2001 when she landed the role of Becky to play Tom Sawyer. In the is the year she had her first credit debut as Pootie Tang. Pootie Tang (2001), however her character was deleted and her character was not shown in the credit sequence. Bell was in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
